Woody Mountain Campground has RV and tent sites available with large pine shade trees in a natural setting.  The campground is seasonal and is open from April through October.  At the front of the campground is a cafe, camp store, and sandwich shop.  The campground is located on Historic Route 66.  Fuel is available at a Chevron station located just a few blocks to the east of the campground.  The Chevron also has diesel fuel.

No Wood burning or campfires.  Charcoal briquette or gas grill/stove only.

Local Recreation:

There are paved bike trails available near downtown Flagstaff.

Downtown Flagstaff is just a short mile from the campground.  The downtown area has numerous restaurants and shops.  The old buildings are amazing, see the photos tab.  It's a great place to walk and spend the day.

The campground is located on Route 66.  Road touring on Route 66 is another fun activity available while staying at the campground.

Winslow, Arizona is approximately 40 miles to the east on Interstate-40.  People like to stand on the corner in Wnslow, according to the song.  Please see the photos tab.

A bit farther to the east on Interstate-40 is Holbrook.  There is an old downtown area in Holbrook that is a photographers paradise. The Tepe Motel is there along with numerous old buildings.

Yet a little farther east on Interstate-40 is the Petrified Forers National Park.  The petrified wood is so interesting, it's worth taking the entire day to do this one.

Note: Campbase visited this park during the winter months when it was officially closed.  Hence the pictures.
