California, Windmill Resort

Directions:

The campground is located approximately Seven miles south of Parker Dam on the California side.  Take Parker Dam Road south and the campground entrance will be on the left side of the highway.  RV's are not allowed on Parker Dam.  If you are driving an RV approach the resort from Downtown Parker and go north on Parker Dam Road.

Windmill Resort is open all year with approximately 20 RV only camp spots.  Most spots have shade trees and beach access.  Many camp spots are right on the water.  The resort has a boat launch and boat docks.  There aren't many services available near the campground.  Most services are available in Downtown Parker, nine miles south of the campground on the Arizona side of the river.  The resort does not have a website or email.   For reservations, contact the resort directly with the phone number provided here.  

Local Recreation:

The campground has a beach with river access.  Located below Parker Dam on the Colorado River, there is a current so please use caution.  The area is known as the Parker Strip. 

Boating, beaches, and fishing are popular from the campground.  It's a boaters paradise with boating beaches available all along the Colorado River.  The resort has a small launch ramp.  For larger boats the Rock House launch facility is located just a mile away.

Parker Dam is just a few miles north of the campground.  RV's are not allowed on the Dam, just cars allowed.  Please see our photos tab for a Dam picture.  

London Bridge is located 30 miles to the north of the resort in Lake Havasu City.  It's a great spot to visit and spend the day.  There are restaurants and bars located near the bridge. 

Also visit the Blue Water Resort and Casino located in Parker along the river.
