Directions:

From Highway 395 in Lone Pine, CA, turn west (at the stoplight) onto Whitney Portal Road and go 12.5 miles to the campground entrance.

Whitney Portal Group Campground is "walk-in" tent only.  No RV's, No sleeping in vehicles. Just 3 group camp sites are available.  This campground is located at the West end of Whitney Portal Campground.  Also located alongside Whitney Portal Road. There is no cellular service in this area.  This is an active bear area so store food in the bear boxes provided.
