Arizona, White Spar Campground, Prescott National Forest.

Direction:

From Prescott, turn south onto Montezuma Street from Gurley Street. Stay on Montezuma Street (which turns into Whitespar, then U.S. Highway 89) for 3 miles.  The campground entrance is just off the highway on the left.  It's at Forest Service road 62.

White Spar Campground in the Prescott National Forest is seasonal with 60 RV and tent camp spots.  60 camp sites are available during the summer months however, only 11 sites are open during the winter months.  The campground is located in a ponderosa pine forest just a short three miles from downtown Prescott.  RV's up to 40 feet can be accommodated.  

The city of Prescott is just a short three miles away with all the services you will need.

Most camp spots are back-in however, Pull-a-round spots are available.

Reservations are not accepted, this is a First come, first serve campground.
 
The gathering of DOWNED fire wood from the National Forest lands is allowed.  Transporting firewood from the National Forest is not allowed.  Use extreme caution with campfires in this area.  Fires are allowed in designated fire rings only.
 
No showers, No firewood for sale, No Ice.
 
The campground has a camp host available year round.
 
Local Recreation:
 
Hiking in the Prescott National Forest is the most popular activity from this campground.  A network of trails start at the campground.  
 
Mountain biking is popular from this campground.
 
Horsebacking and off road vehicles are not allowed.
 
Historic Downtown Prescott is a great way to spend the day.  There are numerous bars and great restaurants.
