Nevada, Whiskey Flats Campground

Direction:

From the small town of Hawthorn, go north on Highway-95 for less than a mile and the campground entrance will be on the left side of the highway.

Comment

Whiskey Flats Campground is open all year with 60 RV and tent camp spots.  There is a well stocked camp store with ice and propane.  Clean restrooms and showers are available.  There is also a large laundry.  Camp roads are all crushed rock and well maintained.  Campbase estimates that RV's up to 65 feet can be accommodated in pull throuh sites.  The park also has an RV dump station.

Local Recreation:

Walker Lake Recreation Area has boating and fishing.  The lake is very large extending 11 miles.

Hawthorne Ordnance Museum.  The Museum has all kinds of different ordnance on display.  Its actually quite interesting.
