Description
California, Ventura Beach RV Resort is located just off the 101 Freeway within a five minute walk from down town Ventura, the Ventura Fair Grounds and the Ventura Pier. It's a wonderful beach central location for seeing the sites in the local area.

Ventura Beach RV Resort is open all year with 144 RV and tent camp sites. 80 of these sites are pull through sites. The campground has free WiFi. Ventura beach is a bicycle friendly community and the campground has bike rentals available. There is a bicycle trail that passes the entrance to the park and runs to many locations in the area.
Each campsite is paved with a picnic table and fire ring. Campsites have full hookups(no cable TV). Camp roads and pads are all paved. The campground is well maintained. The campground plans and schedules all kinds of events for campers. See the photos tab for an example. Most camp spots have shade trees. The campground is against the 101 freeway and there is some freeway noise. The noise may be more of an issue for tenters.
Pets are welcome, sorry Pit Bulls are not allowed.
Kids will love this resort, because of the available activities. The kids we saw all seemed to be having a great time.
The campground does not have Cable TV and TV air channels were not available. Cellular service was excellent. The Wifi was excellent but, slowed down in the evening due to heavy usage.
Local Recreation:
The Ventura Pier and Ventura Fair Grounds are a short walking distance from the campground. Beaches are less than one mile on the other side of Highway 101. Kite surfing is popular on the beaches near the campground.
Old Downtown Ventura is also within walking distance where you will find a unique shops, markets, restaurants, bars, and bicycle repair. It's actually quite a fun activity to walk downtown. There is quite a bit of activity in the downtown area with numerous restaurants to choose from. My recommendation is Rice by Mama, Thai Cuisine.
The old town of Ojai is just a short drive away.
The Ojai Bike Trail runs from Ojai, past the campground, to the beach, for a total of 11 miles, each way. It's a bike and walk only trail. It does cross some streets.
