California, Upper Grays Meadow Campground

Upper Grays Meadow Campground has 35 RV or tent camp spots.  Campbase estimates that RV's up to 40 feet can be accommodated in some spots.  Most spots are smaller.  Campground roads and parking pads are narrow so small RV's are best.  Road access to the campground is easy for most vehicles.  The campground has vault toilets and drinking water.  There was no cell service in the area.  Many spots have shade trees.  Independence Creek runs along the campground.  This is an active bear area so store all food in the boxes provided.  A limited number of sites are first-come, first-served.  Most sites are by reservation on recreation.gov.
