Description

Wyoming, Tower Falls, Yellowstone National Park.

Located on the Northeast side of the Grand Loop Highway near Roosevelt Lodge.  The Northeast park entrance is the closest entrance to this campground.  

NOTE:  There is no address and the map provided here does not reflect the actual location of the campground. 

Comment

This is a nice campground however, it's dry camping and the roads to and in the campground are not suited for large RV's.  Most RV's that stay here are 25 feet or less.  Campbase does not recommend taking your large RV's to this campground because its a hilly campsite.  There is no dump station and this is dry camping.

At the entrance to the campground is Tower Falls, restrooms and a restaurant.  All this is within walking distance from the campground.

The campground is self registration on a first come, first served basis.

The campground is in a very natural wilderness setting.  There are approximately 32 spots available at this location.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON CELL AND DATA SERVICE:

Cell service is sporadic at best.  In most parts of the park there is no phone service no matter how good your carrier is.  For cell service you will need to visit one of the lodges or villages.  Most campgrounds have no service.
 
Cellular DATA:  Same story, no Internet/data service.  Even if you can get service at a lodge or village it's still painfully slow.  The best thing to do is to go to Old Faithful Village or Canyon Village and find the Global Gossip Hot Spot.  It will be in a sitting room.  They have a very fast Internet connection for about $5 per hour.  It was worth the price.  The phone number for them is (877) 658-5597
 
Bring your mosquito repellant.  Mosquitos were plentiful during my visit in June 2013.
