Utah, Thousand Lakes RV Park

Directions:

From the town of Torrey, Utah, head West on Highway 24 for approximately one mile.  The campground will be on the right side of the highway.  

Note:  The campground is also located six miles west of Capitol Reef National Park.

Comment

Thousand Lakes RV Park has cabins, tenting, and RV camp spots.  The campground is open April 1 through October 25.  Full hookups and pull through spots are available.  Most camp spots have large shade trees.  The Capitol Reef campground is dry camping so this location is a good alternative with full hookups.  Tempratures during the summer months can range into the 100's.  The campground also has a pool for guests.  The campground is located in the small town of Torrey with fuel and restaurants available.  Thousand Lakes RV Park is located just six miles from Capitol Reef National Park.  The park has great views right from most camp spots. 

Local Recreation:

Capital Reef National Park has a Visitors Center with all the parks information available.  Hiking and photography are popular in this area. 

Note: there is not a lake at the campground despite the Thousand Lakes name.
