Description
Indiana, Terre Haute Campground is part of the Kieffer Campgrounds chain or parks.
Directions:
Directions may seem a bit confusing. The campground is actually located along Interstate-70. However, there is no off-ramp. There are a few ways to get to the park, the following is just one. Eastbound on Interstate-70 in Terre Haute take SR-46 and go Southbound. After less than one mile take the Riley Road exit. Its also called SR-46-East. At the top of the off ramp there is a round-about, Take the round-about and cross over the top of the freeway. Take the second round about and continue going straight Eastbound. In approximately one block take a left turn onto South Tucker Street. Follow Tucker Northbound. It will seem like you are going towards Interstate-70 on an access road. Cross over E Moyer Drive and continue on Tucker into the campground.
Look at the Campbase map tab for the exact location of the campground along Interstate-70.
Comment
Terre Haute Campground is open all year with 80 total sites available. Pull through and full hookup sites are available. There are also cabins and two glamping tents. The park does have some freeway noise from Interstate-70. 50 and 30 amp hookups are available. The park has loads of things for the kids to do including swimming, a bounce pad, and small zoo style area. There are also kiddie tractor rides. Some camp roads are paved but most are gravel. Most sites had a shade tree. A very nice stop for all kinds of campers. Big rigs have easy access. Campbase estimates that big rigs to 60 feet can be accommodated in some spots.
