Description

Oregon, Tahkenitch Campground is a beautiful campground located in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, 8 miles north of Reedsport. The campground offers some very secluded sites with local coastal shrubbery.

Direction:

From Reedsport, drive north 7.5 miles on Highway 101. Campground is on the west (left) side of Highway 101.

Tahkenitch Campground is across Highway-101 from Tahkenitch Lake.  The campground is open from May through September.  Reservations are available on www.recreation.gov.  The campground has walking trails to Three Mile Lake and the Tahkenitch Sand Dunes.  Restrooms, drinking water and paved camp roads are available in the campground.  Most camp spots are shaded.  The campgrounds signs indicate that reservations are required.  Cell service was limited or un-available in the park.  30 total camp spots are available.  Campbase estimates that RV's up to 35 feet can be accommodated in some spots.
