Sunrise RV Park is the ONLY RV park in Santa Barbara.  The next closest campground is nine miles away in Carpinteria. Sunrise RV park has only 33 spaces so, it's recommended that you get reservations early.  The park had courteous and helpful staff.  They were very friendly.  The restroom was clean and required an access code for the door.  Each campsite has a picnic table however, camp fires are not allowed.  The free WIFI was slow however, my camp site was on the far side of the park and that may have been the reason for the slowness.  Cable TV was available and it worked well.  There is limited shade in the campground however, some spots do have shade.  The camp spots were a reasonable size and not cramped.

The campground is located in a good central location for touring Santa Barbara.  Downtown Santa Barbara is excellent for walking and seeing the shops and numerous restaurants.  Downtown is approximately three miles from the campground.  In the downtown area it's a must to visit Nortons Deli, Anderson's Bakery, and Bucantini Italian Restaurant to name a few.  See the links on the right side of this page.

The marina area on the beach is approximately two miles from the camp site.  You'll find a pier, beaches, walking path, and numerous restaurants in this area.

Land and Sea Tours also looked interesting.  They have an amphibious bus that can travel on land and water.  See the link picture to the righ.

Note: Many of the streets in Santa Bargara are narrow or winding.  There are numerous narrow streets in the downtown area.  Double check your navigation if you will be driving in the downtown area with a large RV.

The campground is right off the freeway and there are the standard freeway noises in the park however, it wasn't an issue for us. Most of our time was spent touring Santa Barbara and not in the campsite.

Make sure you bring your bike locks if you will be riding in the downtown area.

There is no tenting in this park.
