Description

California, Stoddard Valley Campground has easy freeway access.  This is Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land.

Directions:

The recreation area has great access off the I-15 freeway at Sidewinder Road exit.  Also called the Outlet Center Drive.  From Barstow go West on Interstate-15 for approximately 5 miles.  Exit the interstate at the Outlet Center Drive and go left.  After approximately one mile the Recreation Area will be on the right.

Stoddard Valley Campground is A primitive camping area but its free.  Maximum length of stay is 14 days.  This is a desert location and summer temperatures can be extreme.  This area receives the most visitors during the winter months.  There are no shaded spots.  No drinking water.  Bring everything you need with you.   This is open camping in the desert near Barstow.  There is a nice Restaurant that you can ride to off State Highway 247.  It's called Slash-x Cafe.  See the picture tab.  Slash-X is only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
