The park is located 30 miles south of Indio on highway 111.

New Camp, Salten Sea Rec Park is seasional being closed during the summer months.  The open season is season is Oct.-Nov.-Dec.-Jan.-Feb.-Mar.-Apr.-May.  Summer temperatures are extreme in this area.  RV and tent camp spots are available.  Big rigs to 35ft can be accommodated.
