Quietside Campground and Cabins is open from June through September with tent sites, RV sites and cabins.  The campground has some water and electric sites but, no full hookups.  There are approximately 43 camp spots and 11 cabins available.  The campground is in a wilderness area on Mount Desert Island and there are not many amenities near the campground.  The amenities are in Southwest Harbor, approximately 8 miles away.  Southwest Harbor has shops, restaurants, markets, and fuel.

 

Depending on the time of year, many areas in Maine may have ticks, bees, and mosquitos.  Due to the potential problems posed by these insects it's best to arrive prepared should these insects become a nuisance.  Campbase recommends screen enclosures, repellants, bug zappers, and mesh net hats.  Please click these links to see our recommended items.
