Directions:
To find Pinezanita RV Park travel South on Interstate 15. In Temecula, exit onto Highway 79 South. Take Highway 79 South through Warner Springs and into Santa Ysabel. In Santa Ysabel turn left onto Highway 78 East. Go 7 miles to the four-way stop on Main St. in Julian. Turn Right on Main Street and continue 2 ½ blocks. You will see signs just out of town to Cuyamaca Lake, and Cuyamaca State Park. Make that Right turn onto Highway 79 South, travel 4 miles South and Pinezanita will be on the right.
The campground is located four miles from the town of Julian on the right side of the highway. It’s a long ways from the interstate but, the roads are passable for big rigs.

Pinezanita RV Park and Campground is open all year with 232 RV or tent camp spots. Camp cottages are also available. The campground has a fishing pond. Most camp spots are level with easy access. This campground can get snow during the winter. Campground roads are all paved and most camp spots have large shade trees. Each spot has a picnic table and fire ring. Some spots have full hookups. There is a small camp store with most of the essentials including ice. RV’s up to approximately 40 feet can be accommodated.
Local Recreation:
Just a few miles north of the campground is the small town of Julian. It’s a great spot to spend the day walking around the shops and restaurants. There are pie shops that usually make the best apple pies available. Try Moms pie shop. There are also shops selling honey, dried fruits, and apple cider. There is something for the whole family. Make sure you bring home some bread from the local bakeries.
Lake Cuyamaca has fishing and boating for small boats. Swimming is not allowed in the lake but, there is a marina with small boat rentals.
The Anza Borrego Desert State Park is located approximately 25 miles from the campground. It’s a great drive with interesting things to do in and around the park. Please see our Anza Borrego Desert State Park Page for more details.
