California, Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park is located among the Redwoods along the California coastline.

Directions:

Located on the east side of Pacific Coast Highway(Highway 1) among the giant redwood trees in the town of Big Sur.  The park is 26 miles south of Carmel.

Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park is a great park to relax in and enjoy the redwood trees.  The maximum camper legnth is 32 feet and the maximum trailer legnth is 27 feet.  The park is open all year with 172 RV and tent camp sites are available.  Big Sur river runs through the park.  Bring your bicycle, the park has paved roads that are a joy to ride on.  Beach access is close but, on the far side of highway 1.  Most campers prefer to drive to the beach parking areas along Highway 1.  Restaurants and small markets are located just outside the entrance to the park, approximately one mile north.

The Big Sur Lodge is located inside the park.  Visit them on the web at www.bigsurlodge.com. There is a camp store with wood and ice at the lodge.

Caution: there is anther park in the area with a similar name: Julia Pfeifer Burns State Park.  Julia Pfeifer Burns State Park does not have camp sites.
