Also called Pirate Cove. The campground is open all year with112 river front camp spots and 45 non-river front. Waterfront camp spots have beaches. RV's and tenting can be accommodated. Cabins are also available, please see the photos tab. The campground is located on a long section of the Colorado River near where Interstate 40 crosses the Colorado River. Water depth averages around six feet. It's enough for the high performance River boats that frequent the area. Tubing is popular in the area. At the campground is an area called Pirates Cove (see the pictures tab). Pirates Cove is a brand new area with Bars, restaurants, lodging, market, and a marina. It's all really quite nice. The marina has a fuel dock for boats and boat slips available. The boat launch ramp is seven lanes wide. The area has everything for the boater.
Camp sites have full hookups and pull through spots. Most spots are level and many have shade trees. Big rigs of all sizes can be accommodated. There are restrooms, showers, laundry and a resort store available. Most camp roads are crushed rock. Ice and firewood are available. Most cellular service works well from the campground.
Local Recreation:
The resort has everything for the whole family to enjoy at this location.
There is a really large three path zip line that goes over the water from the restaurants to the beaches. It looks great.
Off-roading trails are also being developed that lead to Pirates Cove and the campground. Bring the boat and the off road equipment. Check with the reservation desk for trail maps and trail heads. There are 3200 miles of BLM trails to explore.
The resort is located on a long section of the Colorado River. The Colorado runs through some amazingly bueatiful canyons just south of the campground by boat. Approximately 15 miles down river is Lake Havasu a very large boating lake. London Bridge can be found on Lake Havasu. The Colorado River is also navigable to the north of the campground.
Fifty miles to the north of the resort is Laughlin, Nevada. There are numerous gaming casinos at this location. It makes for a great day trip.
