Ohanapecosh Campground, on the southeast side of Mount Rainier National Park, is surrounded by old growth forest and crossed by an exceptionally beautiful snow-fed river. Mount Rainier spawns 5 major rivers.  There is an abundance of wildlife in the park.  Timed entrance reservations are required to enter certain section of the park.  Entry reservations are required between May 24 and September 2.  Reservations are not required after 3 P.M.  The Ohanapecosh Campground is seasional being open from late May through late September.   Ohanapecosh Campground is located outside the parks "Entry Reservation" area and is accessible without entry reservation.  179 total camp spots are available.  Camp spots are reservable and also first-come, first-served.  Reservable sites can be reserved at www.recreation.gov.  An RV dump station was not available during the 2024 Campbase visit to the park.  Motorhomes up to 32 feet and trailers up to 27 feet can be accommodated in the campground.
