Description

California, Monterey Pines RV Campground.  This is a military, Department of Defense (DOD) only campground. 

Directions:

Monterey Pines RV Campground is located at the corner of Fairgrounds Road and Garden Road in Monterey. HEADING SOUTH on HWY 1, exit at Casa Verde Way and turn left. Continue through the light to Fairgrounds Road and turn right (West) and proceed to Garden Rd (signal). Turn left (South toward airport) and immediately look for the RV park/golf course entrance on the left (1st driveway entrance on left).

Monterey Pines RV Campground is open all year with tent and RV camp spots.  Registration is located inside the golf store.  This is a DOD campground.  Campers must have a military ID. to camp here.  This is an in-ttown campground being located near downtown Monterey.  Its also located at the Monterey Pines Golf Club.  Great spot really.  Its a small park with approximately 29 RV camp spots.  Full hookups are available.  Most camp spots have a picnic table and BBQ.  Big rigs to 50 feet can be accommodated in some spots.  Click this link for the reservations page.

The park is in a good location for visiting the sights in the local area including Pebble Beach and Monteray Bay.  Pebble Beach has the 17 Mile Drive.  It costs $10 to enter the private community of Pebble Beach and drive the 17 Mile Drive.  The highway runs along the beach and golf course with fantastic views.  Its well worth the entrance price.

The Monteray Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row are located in the same general area and great for a days excursion.

There are also numerous golf courses in the area in addition to the one located at the campground.

The Monterey Fairgrounds are located within walking distance from the campground.
