California, Mesquite Springs Campground, Death Valley National Park. The campground does not have an address however, the Campbase map is accurate for the location of the campground.
Directions:
From Los Angeles take the I-15 freeway east to the town of Baker. Exit onto highway 127 north. In approximately 60 miles take highway 190 west. Continue on highway 190 for approximately 35 miles until you reach Furnice Creek. From Furnice Creek, continue north on Highway 190 for approximately 25 miles. Take the right turn towards Scottie's Castle Road and proceed an additional 25 miles. The campground road is four miles before Scottie's Castle. Go left on Mesquite Campground Road and proceed two miles to the campground entrance.

Mesquite Springs Campground is open all year with 30 RV and tent camp spots. The campground is located in the north end of Death Valley, 50 miles north of Furnace Creek. It's a remote location without any services. Scottie's Castle is just four miles north of the campground. The campground is dry camping with drinking water, restrooms, picnic tables, paved camp roads, and a dump station. Smaller RV's (25 feet or less) usually frequent this campground due to its remoteness. However, larger RV's can be accommodated.
Bring all the firewood you will need. Firewood is not available at the campground and gathering wood is prohibited. Same story for ice. The closest available ice is at Furnace Creek, 50 miles away.
The utility sinks at the restrooms have drinking water.
Reservations are not available, the campground is first come, first served. There is a camp spot pay station at the campground entrance. The pay station accepts credit cards only.
Local Recreation:
While visiting Death Valley National Park make sure you visit the following sights: Artist's Drive, Badwater Basin, Dante's View, Devils Golf Course, Furnace Creek Ranch golf course, Harmony Borax Works, Sand dunes, Scotty's Castle, Racetrack Plays, Ubehebe Crater, and Ghost Towns.
The Furnice Creek Village has golf, restaurants, bicycle rental, fuel, and a small gift shop/market. The parks Visitors center is also at Furnace Creek so it's definitely worth the visit. At the Furnace Creek Inn there are Jeep rentals available.
Pahrump, Nevada is located 50 miles outside the park. Pahrump has several gaming casinos.
To the south of the park is Tacopa Hot Springs. There are several bath houses in the small town of Tacopa. A daily pass is usually less than $10. Leave your swim suits at home, they are not allowed in the natural pools.
