Description

Meeks Bay Resort and Marina is located on the west side of Lake Tahoe. 
 
Directions:
 
The campground is located 10 miles south of Tahoe City and 8 miles north of Emerald Bay on highway 89.  North bound on Highway-89, the campground will be on the right or lake side of the highway.

Comment

Meeks Bay Resort and Marina campground has 37 tent and RV sites.  The campground is seasonal and is open from May 4th through October.  Campbase estimates that RV's up to 45 feet can be accommodated in some camp spots.  The resort s located in a remote area and there are no services located nearby.  The closest town is Tahoma, located four miles to the north of the resort.  Meeks Bay Resort is one of the few Lake Tahoe Resorts that is actually located on the lake with lake access.  Bears do frequent the area so store food properly.  Animals in the area are known to carry plague so it's best to leave your pets at home.  The campground is well maintained and most camp spots do have tall shade pine trees.  

Pets are not allowed anywhere at the resort.

Local Recreation:

Kayaks, and motor boats are available for rental at the resorts marina.

The resort has an excellent sand beach.  It's great for all kinds of water activities.

Emerald Bay is lcated just eight miles south of the resort on Highway-89.  It's one of the most scenic areas in Tahoe.
