Directions:

From South Lake Tahoe proceed north on Highway-89.  In 10 miles, pass Emerald bay and continue north on Highway-89.  After approximately 8 more miles, look for the Meeks Bay Campground Beach on the right side.  Turn right onto Manicina and the campground entrance is there.

Meeks Bay Campground Beach, Lake Tahoe Basin Management District, National Forest.  The campground has 40 mostly tent camp spots.  RV's up to 20 feet can be accommodated.  Most camp spots have tall pine shade trees.  Restrooms and drinking water are available.  All camp spots have a picnic table, fire ring, BBQ, and bear box.  Camp roads and pads are all paved.  It's one of the few campgrounds that is located on the lake side of Highway-89.  Beach and water access are available from the campground.  Adjacent to the campground is the Meeks Bay Marina and Resort.  Boat slips are available there.  There aren't many services in the area near the campground so bring everything you need. 

There are plague warnings in the area so it's best to leave the pets at home.

The campground has a great beach with all kinds of water activities available to visitors.

Road touring on highway-89 is popular. Emerald Bay is just eight miles south on Highway-89.
