Local Recreation:
The park has some of California's best waterfalls. They are easily accessible from the campground on well maintained walking paths. Walking paths completely circle the falls with bridges that allow hikers to access both sides of the river. The falls plunge approximately 129 feet into deep blue pools. Please see our photos tab for some pictures.
Lake Britton is located inside the park just a mile from the campgrounds. The park has a launch ramp, boat docks, and a swim beach. Water temperatures are usually perfect during the summer months. Campbase recommends boats no larger than 20 feet. It's also a perfect lake for kayaking. Make sure to bring some kind of float toy with you. Here are a few examples from Amazon.
