Lost Creek Campground is a small campground southeast of Crater Lake with just 16 mostly tent camp spots. Vault toilets are available. RV's are not allowed. The national park has just two developed campgrounds Lost Creek and Mazama Campgrounds. Mazama is for RV's and tenting. Lost Creek campground is first-come, first-served. Reservations are not available. The campground is seasional being open from July through October, weather permitting. In July 2017 Campbase was not able to access this campground due to heavy snow and closed roads. Call before you visit to verify the campground is actually open.
This campground does have mosquitoes. Depending on the time of year, they can be quite a nuisance. Campbase recommends a mosquito mesh hat, insect repellent, and a mosquito net awning to sit in. If mosquitoes bother you, these items are essential for this location.
