California, Launch Point (formerly called Lake Elsinore City Campground).

Directions:

The park is located just 3 miles from Interstate-15.  At the intersection of Interstate-15 and Highway-74, take Highway-74 (also called the Central Avenue exit) and go west.  After two blocks, take a right onto Collier Avenue.  Continue on Collier Avenue for less than a mile and take a left onto Riverside Drive.  Continue West on Riverside Drive for approximately 2.5 miles and the park entrance sign will be on the left side of the highway.

Launch Point was formerly called Lake Elsinore City Campground.  The park was completely remodeled in 2020.  Everything in the park is new, from the campground to the launch ramp.  Lake Elsinore is Southern California's largest, natural, fresh water lake. The park is now a modern recreation area with a lake, pool, splash pad, beaches, and playground.  The park has a large boat launch facility with trailer parking.  There is a small market, bait store and restaurant.  The RV park is extensive with all sites having full hookups and a picnic table.  Fire rings are not available.  The campground has restrooms with showers and a laundry room.  Some spots have shade trees.  The splash pad, playground and pool are all located in the RV park with gated access for RVers.  The lake and sand beach are also accessable from the campgroumd.  An Airstream trailers hotel is available with 9 Airstreams.  The Airstreams are really nice and vintage.  Its a really nice Airstream hotel.  There are also six(6) indicidual yurts available.

Local Recreation:

Lake activities are popular from this campground.   Boating, fishing, and kayaking are available to campers.  If you prefer swimming, the park has a large pool and a splash pad.

Road touring is also popular on Ortega Highway.  The access to Orteng Highway is just a short distance from the park.  It's a popular destination for motorcycling.

Approximately 15 miles south of the lake on Interstate-15 is the Pachanga Casino located in Temecula.  Its a large casino with extensive gaming and slot machines.

For sky divers, Lake Elsinore airport is located on the southern end of the lake.  Skydive Elsinore is located there.  Skydive Elsinore has first jump courses.
