Description

California, Lakeside Campground at Prosser Reservoir.  There are no street names or addressing near the campground.

Directions:

From Truckee, take Interstate 80 to Highway 89.  On Highway 89 travel Northbound for about 5 miles.  Look for the Prosser sign on the right side of the highway.  Turn in there, continue just over a mile to the campground, there will be another campground sign.

Lakeside Campground at  Prosser Reservoir.  The campground is seasional opening in May and closing in October.  There are 27 large sites for Tenting or RVing.  Dry camping, there are no hookups available.  Drinking water is available.  This is an out-of-town campground and there are no services near the campground.  Bring everything you will need including ice and firewood.  The campground is located on the Posser Reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest.  Most camp spots have a lake view and some are on the lake.  There is a boat launch available nearby.

Power boating is allowed on the lake with a 10 MPH speed limit.  

Note: Bears frequent the area.  Store food properly.  Bear boxes are not provided.
