Description

California, Lake Piru Recreation Area Campground is a Ventura County Local Park.

Directions:

From the small town of Piru, California, take Main Street and go North.  Driving out of town the road will change name to Piru Canyon Road.  The highway will wind to the North for several miles passing Lake Piru Dam.  Continue past the dam and you will see the parks entrance booth in under a mile.

Lake Piru Recreation Area is a Ventura County Park.  The recreation area has two campgrounds and two large group areas.  Olive Grove and Oak Lane campgrounds can accommodate RV's and tents.  Olive Grove is the larger campground with 200 spots available.  The park is open all year with tent, group, and RV camp spots.  RV's to just about any size can be accommodated in some spots.  The campgrounds are located in a remote area near the lake with only a campground store available.  Ice is available in the park and at the camp store.  The campgrounds have a lake view and direct Lake Piru access.  There is a marina and launch ramp in the park.  Restrooms, showers, and drinking water are available.  Pets are allowed.  The RV dump station is located in Olive Grove Campground.  Two group camp spots are also available.
