Nevada, Lahontan State Recreation Area

Directions:

The park is located off Highway-50 in the area of Silver Springs.  This is a large park with numerous points of access for numerous different camping locations.  Some locations have improved dry camp sitee while other spots are primitive camping.

Lahontan State Recreation Area is open year around with RV and tent camp spots.  Most camping is along the lakeside.  Many camping areas are sandy and may not be suitable for some vehicles.  There are also paved/established campgrounds that can accommodate most vehicles.  RV dump stations are also available.  Restrooms with showers are available in some areas of the park.  Drinking water is also available.  Year around camping is available at Silver Springs Campground #7.  The park has a marina and two boat launch areas.
