La Posa Long Term Visitor Area campground is approximately 11,400 acres in size, flat landscape, sparsely vegetated with plants such as Creosote bushes, Palo Verde trees, Ironwood trees, Mesquite trees and various species of cacti.  This is open camping without designated camp spots.  RV camping is available, tenting is not allowed.  La Posa is open year around however, Campbase does not recommend this campground durring the summer months due to extremely high tempratures.  Many level camping areas are available.  Large dumpsters are available near the entrance of the park.  This is dry camping.  RV connections and RV services are not available.  For propane, water, and RV dump Campbase recommends "The Pit Stop" located on highway-95 in downtown Quartzsite.  They have all the essential RV services at reasonable prices.  In addition, the Tumbleweed RV Park has 4 dump stations and drinking water fill.

The camping area is usually busiest during the month of January.

Please see our "Quartzsite Camping" page for additional information about this area.
