Description

Arizona, Katherine Landing Campground is in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. 

Directions:

From Laughlin, Nevada, take Highways 95/68 north for approximately 1 mile.  Take a left onto Davis Dam Road.  Travel approximately one mile on Davis Dam Road and take a Right onto Katherine Drive.  Follow Katherine Drive for several miles.  Go through the National Park entrance gate and pay the entrance fees.  Continue another mile on Katherine Drive, the campground will be on the left and right just before the Marina.

Katherine Landing Campground is open all year with 173 RV and tent camp spots.  There are actually three(3) campgrounds at Katherine's Landing.  The North and South campgrounds are operated by the national park system.  Depending on the time of year usually only one of these campgrounds is open at a time.  The North Campground is usually open during the summer months  from May 1 through October 1.  After that it closes and the South Campground is open during the winter.  The third Campground is a small RV Campground operated by the concessionaire.  The RV Campground has full hookups.  Campbase has made a separate page for the Katherine's Landing RV Campground.  There are restrooms and showers at the campground.  Drinking water, a dump station, and a laundry are also available.  Camp roads are all paved.  Shrubs provide some wind protection but little shade.  All camp spots are back-in.  Rv's up to 40 feet can be accommodated.  Tempratures in the summer months are usually over 100 degrees.  Katherine Landing is near the campground where there is a restaurant, market, marina, boat docks, and boat launch.  Rental boats are also available.  Boat and vehicle fuel is available at Katherine's Landing near the campground entrance.

Casino gaming in Laughlin.  Laughlin has a "Casino Row" where there are numerous casinos.  

Fishing is popular on Lake Mohave.  It's a very large lake and there are always quiet locations available to fish.
