Description

Oregon, Humbug Mountain State Park Campground.  Easy RV access from Highway-101 on paved entrance road.

Direction:

From Port Orford, Oregon.  Go South on Highway-101.  After 5.5 miles, look for the campground sign and entrance road on the left side of the highway.  Use caution when turning across traffic.  Traffic is moving down hill and comes up quickly.

Humbug Mountain State Park Campground is open all year with 95 RV or tent camp spots.  Hiker/biker camp spots are also available.  The campground is located along a picturesque section of the Oregon coastline with beach access from the campground.  Most spots are shaded with tall pines.  The park has a restroom with showers.  A dump station and RV water fill is available.  Park roads and pads are all paved.  Campbase estimates that RV's up to 35 feet can be accommodated.  Pets are allowed in the park.  Reservations are available on-line at ReserveAmerica or by calling (800) 452-568

There are no essential services located near the campground.  All services are located in the small town of Port Orford located 5 miles north on highway-101.  Fuel, markets, and restaurants are available. 

This campground may have mosquitoes.  Depending on the time of year, they can be quite a nuisance.  Campbase recommends a mosquito mesh hatinsect repellent, and a mosquito net awning to sit in.  If mosquitoes bother you, these items are essential for this location. 

Local Recreation:

Beachcombing and beach activities are popular from this campground.  The park has access under Highway-101 onto the beach. 

Hiking in the surrounding park is popular from this location.
