Description

Oregon, Hamaker Campground on Hamaker Creek.  The campground is a bit remote being on forest roads. 

Direction:

From Prospect, OR take OR-62 east for 12 miles. Then continue on OR-230 north for another 12 miles. Turn right on Forest Road 2901 then take Forest Road 291 to the campground.

Hamaker Campground is a seasional campground being open primarily during the summer months.  The campground is located along Hamaker Creek.  There are no services in the area near the campground due to its remoteness.  The closest town is Diamond Lake approximately 10 miles away.  Pack it it, pack it out, there are no trash containers.  The campground does have drinking water.  Vault toilets are available. 

This campground does have mosquitoes.  Depending on the time of year, they can be quite a nuisance.  Campbase recommends a mosquito mesh hat, insect repellent, and a mosquito net awning to sit in.  If mosquitoes bother you, these items are essential for this location.
