California, Giant Gap Campground 

Directions:

From I-80: Take the Foresthill Road exit for 17 miles to the town of Foresthill.  Continue on the road for 9 miles to Sugar Pine Road.  Turn left and continue on Sugar Pine Road for 9 miles and take a right on the first road after the Sugar Pine Recreation Area sign.  Travel 1 1/2 miles to the campground.

Giant Gap Campground is located on the north west shore of Sugar Pine Reservoir. This campground is set in a cedar and pine forest overlooking the reservoir, which provides opportunities for swimming, fishing, kayaking and boating under 10 mph. It is near the Foresthill OHV Trails, but riding out from the campsites is not allowed.

The Foresthill Public Utility District (FPUD) will transfer water from Sugar Pine Reservoir to the Central Valley during the month of September. 

Water levels will be dropping during this time, exposing underwater hazards and changing conditions along shorelines. Please use caution. For more information on Sugar Pine water levels, please contact Foresthill PUD - (530) 367-2511
