Local Recreation:

 

Downtown Manitou Springs is just a short walk from the campground where you will find restaurants, coffee shops, and arcades.  There are also numerous small shops selling souvenirs.  A city bus is also available for the short ride.  There are also several public mineral springs fountains in Manitou(see the photos tab) where you can taste the spring waters.

 

Garden of the Gods, located nearby, is designated as a national natural land mark.  It's a great place for a short bike ride or walk.  It's a beautiful natural area deserving of its name. 

 

The Pikes Peak Cog Railroad is located just a short distance from the campground in Manitou Springs.  The cog railroad takes passengers up to the top of Pikes Peak.  It's a fantastic ride through forests and up the steep sloops of Pikes Peak to 14.000 feet.  It's a great ride for the entire family.
