California, Fossil Falls Campground

Directions:

From Coso Junction(Where the rest stop is) and (where the gas station is), go Southbound on Highway-395 for approximately 3 miles and take a left onto Cinder Road(Its on the far side of the big cinder cone).  Go Eastbound on Cinder Road for approximately half a mile and take a right onto the Campground dirt road.  There should be the Fossil Falls sign right there.

Fossil Falls Campground is located along California Highway 395 at the base of the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains.  The campground contains 11 first-come-first-serve campsites with drinking water, restroom, tables and fire rings. RV sites are available and well suited for medium-sized RVs.

Weather: The area is hot and arid, with summer high temperatures ranging from 100 to 120 degrees F. Winter low temperatures may drop below freezing with highs in the 70's.
