Description
Washington, Fort Flagler State Park Lower Campground. The highway to the park is at some points narrow and winding but can accommodate most big rigs. The park is quite a distance from Highway-101.
Directions:
From the town of Port Hadlock take Highway 116 and go South. At this point the highway is called Oak Bay Road. After approximately one mile Highway 116 takes a left turn onto Flagler Road. (Flagler Road goes into the park) After approximately a mile on Flagler Road it will cross a bridge onto Indian Island. Continue for another mile and the highway will cross another bridge onto Marrowstone Island. Continue for approximately four more miles and the road will enter the park.

Fort Flagler State Park Lower Campground is open all year with 59 standard sites, 55 full hookup sites and two primitive sites. Group sites are also available. The park has two restrooms and one dump station. There are two campgrounds, the lower campground and upper campground. The lower campground has the easiest beach access. Big rigs up to 50 feet can be accommodated in the lower campground. The park and the fort are located in a forested area however, the lower campground has a limited number of shaded spots. Full hookups are only available in the lower campground. A few of the parks gun emplacements and forts can be explored from the two campgrounds.
