Comment

Fort Beale RV Park is open all year with 42 full hookup RV sites, no tenting.  The campground is the closest campground to Downtown Historic Kingman where there are shops, restaurants, and museums. There is also a visitors center in the old downtown Kingman area.  It's one of the better campgrounds to stay at in the Kingman area.  Downtown is less than a mile and it's an easy walk.

The campground has easy access from the interstate however, there is some freeway noise but, it's minimal.

Local Recreation:

Campbase stopped at Mr. D'z Route 66 Diner and found the food and atmosphere to be excellent.  It's located on Route 66 in the Historic Downtown Kingman.  The Powerhouse Museum is in the same area of the diner.  Both are walking distance from the campground.

Also checkout the Redneck BBQ in the downtown area.

There is a Kingman Regional Transit system and the bus stops in downtown Kingman.  Pick up a Riders Guide from the driver.  In general, buses arrive at the stop once every hour.  An all day pass is $5.  The drivers are helpful with things to see and do in Kingman.  It's a tour in itself.

Historic Downtown Kingman also has several things to see and do.  It's a good place for a walk with all the shops and sights.  In the same area are antique shops, The Powerhouse Museum, The Information Center, and The Mohave Museum of History and Art.

Route 66 road touring is popular in this area with roadside stops available along the route.

Other Notes:

At Campbase we are always looking for some place to wash the RV.  The Blue Beacon Truck Wash ( they also do a great job on RV's) is located nearby at 3270 E. Andy Devine Ave.  The phone number is (928) 757-9898.
