Description

Oregon, East Dunes Campground is in the Sand Lake Recreation Area.  This is part of the Siuslaw National Forest.  

Directions:

To Access from Pacific City, OR:Travel on Highway 101 10 miles to County Road 871 ( Sandlake Road). Turn right on County Road 871 (Sandlake Road) and travel 4 miles to stop sign. Turn left on County Road 871 (Sandlake Road). Travel for 1 mile and turn right on Galloway Road. Site is at the end of Galloway Road in the Sandlake Recreation Area.

To Access from Tillamook, OR:

Located south of Tillamook, OR on Highway 101, 11 miles to County Road 871 (Sandlake Road). Turn right on County Road 871 (Sandlake Road) and travel 4 miles to stop sign.  Turn left on County Road 871 (Sandlake Road), travel for 1 mile and turn right on Galloway Road.  Site is at the end of Galloway Road in the Sandlake Recreation Area.

East Dunes Campground  The campground is open all year with 61 first-come, first-served spots.  Reservations are not availanle.  This is primarily an off-roaders campground used for accessing the sand dunes.  There are three campgrounds in the Sand Lake Recreation Area.  RV's to approximately 50 feet can be accommodated in most camp spots.  All camp spots are paved.  Pets are allowed but, must be kept on a leash due to sensitive bird nesting areas in the park.  Pest are not recommended with the extensive off road activities.
