Directions:

From Interstate-405 take Imperial Hwy Exit W to Vista Del Mar for 3.75 miles.  Imperial goes directly into the parks entrance.

Dockweiler Beach RV Park is open all year with 117 RV camp spots.  Tent camping is not allowed.  Paved campground, no shade trees, no fire rings.  The campground is right on the beach.  Some airport noise from LAX nearby.  Paved camp roads and paved camp spots.  There are restrooms with showers available.  All services are approximately three miles from the campground.  Big rigs to 40 feet can be accommodated on level spots.  The campground has WiFi but no cable TV.  AIr TV may be available.  Cell service is good in the area.  Reservations are available by calling (800) 950-7275.  Most camp spots have an ocean view.  The campground does not have fire rings however, they are available on the beach in front of the campground.  

The Hyperion Sewage Treatment plant is on the hill just above the campground.  The prevailing wind is onshore so, there usually isn't a problem.  

Local Recreation:

The paved bike path passing the campground is extremely popular with cyclists.  It can be ridden northbound to the Santa Monica Pier and beyond.  

There plenty of clean sand in front of the campground that is perfect for beach activities.  Sunbathing and surfing are popular.
