Crane Lakeside RV Resort is open all year with just 16 RV only spaces on the water.  This is primarily a mobile home park that has a few RV spots available.  The 16 available camp spots may be difficult to reserve and are usually fully booked year around.  The campground is right on Lake Elsinore with an available boat launch and beach.  There is a very large nice beach available.  Lake views from the camp sites are excellent.  Shaded spots are not available.  Call camp spots are on concrete pads.  Campbase estimates that RV's up to 50 feet can be accommodated in the camp spots.  Full hookups, restrooms and showers are available.

Lake Elsinore is Southern California's largest natural, fresh water lake.  Higher than normal temperatures and the California drought are having a negative affect on the lakes health.  Lake algie toxin levels may be elevated in late summer and early fall.  The city recommends not to have body contact in the lake while algie levels are elevated.  If you do come in contact with the water it's important to rinse off with fresh water as soon as possible.  Pets should also remain clear of the water.  Fish die-off may also occur under certain conditions.

Local Recreation:

Lake activities are popular from this campground.   Boating, fishing, and kayaking are available to campers.  If you prefer swimming, the park has a large pool.

Road touring is popular on Ortega Highway.  The access to Orteng Highway is just a short distance from the park.  It's a popular destination for motorcycling.
