Comment
City of Rocks State Park is located at 5,200 feet elevation. A total of 10 RV camp spots with electric and water connection are available. Additional tent and group spots in the park are dry camping. Some cellular carriers have service from the park. The campgrounds consists of several different areas. The main campground has the electric sites. Pegasus Campground is to the northeast end of the park and just has a few dry camp spots. Dispersed camping encircling the rocks is also available. Most camp parking spots are extremely large and can accommodate vehicles to just about any size. However, Campbase recommends vehicles to approximately 35 feet due to access roads and distances from the interstate(the park actually has a 50 foot limit). The park has a visitors center at the entrance. All camp roads and parking pads are dirt. Paved roads lead to the park. Restrooms and drinking water is available but, no showers. Most camp spots do not have shade. Every camp spot has a picnic table and fire ring. Some spots have shade awnings. There are no services in the area near the campground.
