Directions:
 
The park is off Highway 76, up Highway S-6, then left on Highway S-7 at the junction near the mountaintop.  The S-7 goes into the park entrance.

Comment

Cedar Grove Group Camp, Palomar Mountain State Park.  The campground has three group camp sites.  Two sites can accommodate 15 people and the third site can accommodate 25 people.  These spots are open all year with tenting only.  Located in a natural pine Forest on top of Palomar Mountain.  Outside the group camping area there are 31 standard camp spots. 

There are mountain lions and poisonous snakes in the area.
 
Local Recreation:
 
Star gazing is the most popular activity from this campground.  Make sure you bring a telescope. 
 
Mothers Kitchen Restaurant is approximately two mile from the campground.
 
There are numerous hiking trails near the campground.
 
Road touring and road biking are popular on mountain roads near the campground.
 
Mount Palomar Observatory is open to the public and is located just one mile north of the campground.
 
Pala Casino is located approximately 15 miles south of the campground.  This is a large casino with approximately 10 restaurants.
