California, Carmel By The River RV Park

Directions:

On Highway-1 in Carmel, look for Carmel Valley Road (a signal) and make the turn Eastbound (you can only go one way). Travel eastbound for 4.5 miles to Schulte Road and go right. Continue on Schulte Rd for about 1 mile, it winds and turns.  At the end, there is a fork in the road. You will see Saddle Mountain Ranch’s sign on the left and the Carmel By The River sign on the right. Take the right form and travel a block down the hill to the registration. 

Roads are narrow leading to the park.  RV's leaving the park generally leave before 12 noon.  Arriving RV's should arrive after 12 to avoid meeting outbound RV's on these narrow roads.

Carmel By The River RV Park is open all year with 35 total sites available.  Camp spots have full hookups and are well sized with plant dividers between each site.  Camp roads are all paved while camp spots are crushed rock.  There is a clean restroom with showers.  Each camp spot has a picnic table.  A well stocked camp store can be found at registration.  The park also has a game room with a pool table.  There is no tenting or van camping at this location, RV's only.  Campbase enjoyed the stay at the park.

The park is in a good location for visiting the sights in the local area including Pebble Beach and Monteray Bay.  Pebble Beach has the 17 Mile Drive.  It costs $10 to enter the private community of Pebble Beach and drive the 17 Mile Drive.  The highway runs along the beach and golf course with fantastic views.  Its well worth the entrance price.

The Monteray Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row are located in the same general area and great for a days excursion.

There are also numerous golf courses in the area.
