Cape Blanco State Park Campground is open all year with approximately 58 RV and tent camp spots.  Cabins, corrals and 8 horse camp spots are also available.  Hiker/biker spots are also availavle.  Big rigs up to 65 feet can be accommodated.  Electric and water hookups are located at most camp spots.  The campground is well maintained with paved camp roads and shaded spots.  Camp spots are private with trees surrounding each spot.  It's just a short walking distance to beaches and the Cape Blanco Lighthouse.  The campground does not have beach front sites or direct beach access.  The light house and Hughes House are just open for tours from April through October.  The campground is a bit remote without services available for several miles around.  Bring everything you will need including ice and fuel.

This campground may have mosquitoes.  Depending on the time of year, they can be quite a nuisance.  Campbase recommends a mosquito mesh hatinsect repellent, and a mosquito net awning to sit in.  If mosquitoes bother you, these items are essential for this location.  Especially if you plan on sitting outside after dark.

Note: The dump station was closed for repairs during our visit.  See the picture with the blue tarp.
