Utah, Canyonlands Campground.

The campground is located in the city of Moab on highway 191.  If you are northbound on highway 191 in Moab, it will be on the right side.  Downtown Moab is a short walking distance from this campground.

Comment

The campground is in a great location for walking in the town of Moab.  Shops and restaurants are all a short walking distance from the campground.  It's the closest campground to downtown.  That reason alone makes it a great location to stay.   It's also a great location for visiting Arches National Park.  The entrance to Arches National Park is approximately five miles north on highway 191.

There is a bike route that runs north out of Moab city and passes the entrance to Arches National Park.  The length of the bike route is approximately 10 miles.  It's a very scenic ride.

The town of Moab has every kind and type of equipment rental available.  From boats to bikes, to Hummers.  There are also numerous adventure touring companies located downtown.   See the adds on the right side of this page.

The campground itself is quite nice with plenty of shade trees.  Access roads and parking pads are crushed rock but are in good shape.  Parking pads are nice and flat.  Full hookups are available.  Some spots are water and electric only.
