Description

California, Camp Taylor, Samuel P. Taylor State Park.  Easy paved road access from Sir Frances Drake Blvd.  

Directions:

From the town of Olema on Highway-1, take Sir Frances Drake Blvd. East.  After approximately 10 miles you will see the Samuel P. Taylor State Park sign on the right side.  Continuing East you will see the Camp Taylor Campground sign on the right side.  From the East, the park is 15 miles West of San Rafael. 

The address used here may not be exact however, the Campbase map is accurate for the location of the group camp.

Camp Taylor is in the Samuel P. Taylor State Park.  The campground is open all year with 60 RV and tent camp spots.  This is a dry campground, RV hookups are not available.  Trailers to 27ft, motor homes to 31ft can be accommodated in the campground.  A limited number of pull-a-round camp spots are available for RV's.  Lagunitas Stream runs right past several camp spots.  The campground is situated in a beautiful redwood forest.  Equestrian and hiking trails are available in the park.  Group sites are also available.  Some camp spots at the park are tent only.  Reservations are available through Reserveamerica.com.  Sites not sold through Reserveamerica are available first-come, first-served.  Click for additional campground details.

Local Recreation:

Hiking through the beautiful Redwoods located in the park.

Point Reyes National Seashore is located just 10 Miles west of this campground.  Point Reyes has beaches, forests, and a light house.

Muir Woods National Monument is located approximately 40 miles to the south.
