Anchor Bay Campground is open all year with RV and tent camping.  One camp site has full RV hookups.  A few sites have electric and water hookups but, most sites are dry camping.  There are just 27 camp spots available.  Just two of those spots are pull through sites, the rest are back-in sites.  The campground has easy beach access.  A few spots are right at the beach.  The beach in front of the campground is just fabulous.  There are tide pools, cliffs, and lots of sand.  Diving is also popular from the beach.  The campground is also within a short walking distance from the White Cap coffee shop and a few small restaurants.  The Thai Kitchen is there and the food was wonderful.  With the restaurants nearby, trees, and beach access, it really enhanced the campging experience making it better overall.  It's not just about the campground, it's more about the adventure and this spot seems to have a little of everything.  Each camp spot has a picnic table and fire ring.  Campbase burnt wood picked right off the beach.  Big rigs up to 40 feet can be accommodated in some spots, Campbase recommends no larger than 35.  The campground is located in a small valley so there is no cell service however, WiFi is available.  There is also a pay phone at the office.  The campground does have a small launch ramp for launching boats up to 17 feet onto a sand beach.

Local Recreation:

Beach activities are popular from this campground.  It's a good spot for kayak launching and exploring the rugged coastline.  It's also good for fishing off the beach.

Photography is also popular from this location.  Please see the Campbase photos tab for some pics we took using an IPhone.
