Description

Oregon, Alpine Campground is high on Mount Hood, near the headwaters of the Salmon River.  The campground is in the wilderness and does not have an address.  No RV sites are available.  The Campbase map provided here is accurate.

Direction:

From Sandy, OR, travel east on Highway 26 past Government Camp to Forest Service Road 173. Follow 173 north to the campground.

The campground is near Timberline Lodge and the ski area.

Comment

Alpine Campground is first-come, first-served and does not take reservations.  The campground is TENT ONLY.  No RV spaces are available.  The campground is on the slopes of Mount Hood.
