To access Almont Campground from Almont, CO drive one mile southwest on State Highway 135.  The campground will be along the Gunnison River on the left side.  The campground does not have an address.  The Campbase map used here is accurate for the campgrounds location.

Almont Campground is located adjacent to Colorado State Highway 135. It is typically used for short-term stays of 1 to 5 days. This campground is in walking distance of the Almont Gorge, where the East River and Taylor River join to form the Gunnison River.  There are15 camp sites.  The campground is located at 8000 feet along the Gunnison River.
